PLENTY TO DO ON THE WATER

DWYC offers something for every type of boating enthusiast:

RACE – Visit RACING for a complete list of DWYC races. Members can sign-up for some or all of the posted races. Serious racers will enjoy sailing in our 3-day ANNUAL CHARITY REGATTA the first week of June. Proceeds from this prestigious Regatta benefit The City of Hope and our own Dana West Youth Sailing Foundation.  After the race, stop in to Dana West Yacht Club for HAPPY HOUR.

Not quite ready to race with us? The Farkles are unsanctioned, non-club-affiliated races that have taken place every Thursday afternoon for more than 30 years.  A different course is called each week just before the 2:00 PM start. Races utilize the marks outside Dana Point harbor and average about 2 hours. The Farkles are a good way to hone your racing skills before entering one of our many DWYC or SCYA sanctioned races.

CRUISING – Our Fleet Captain schedules several great cruises through the extended Southern California boating season. Whether a weekend turnaround cruise to a reciprocal club, a visit to one of the great harbors or coves at the island, or an extended cruise up or down the coast, members are invited to sign-up for any or all of our cruising adventures. The only requirement is – cruise smart and be prepared  to have fun!

DOCKSIDE – Planning a dock party? DWYC want to party with you.  Contact our Vice Commodore for information.
